Chicago-born Ibn Jasper wants to make sure today’s kids know Dr. J. That would be Julius Erving, the first basketball player to dunk from the foul line, known for his free-flowing play as well as for wearing the converse pro leather ox basketball shoe. The statuesque white serves a secondary purpose too. Jasper’s intent is to channel Erving’s sophisticated style into a trophy that pays homage to the high-flying player’s individual legacy and broad impact on the game. Roman numeral embossing adds to this vibe, granting historical weight to a contemporary design accentuated by a zippered tongue.

Converse has started to release a new pair of the classic converse all star high 70 which is being called ‘Peace’.Utilizing a Egret and Black color combination, this pair features multiple peace signs across the upper. Highlighted with a canvas base, the peace signs are done in Black. That same shade is used on the laces and license plate on the heel. Completing the look is metal eyelets and Egret across the midsole.

The converse one star schwarz will come dressed an abstract Lavender Military camo design. The other pair will feature a more subtle Grey camo theme. Both sneakers will sit on a White rubber outsole to wrap up the design. This pack is a unique interpretation of a print designed by the US Army Engineer Research and Development Laboratory back in the 1960s. In addition the collaboration will also consist of matching apparel to complete the set.

The converse jack purcell pro’s dual character — part sport classic, part cultural classic — is conveyed by Takahiro Miyashita’s employment of a mismatched ‘Stars and Bars’ graphic canvas (a print originally introduced by Converse in 1991) and a vertical utility zipper framed by asymmetrical lacing. It is an appropriately respectful yet defiant approach to transforming the silhouette, fully in keeping with Takahiro’s ingenuity."
