Post Series Thread - @ Georgia Southern
I'll let x do his usual good job on the series preview but look for Henningan to get the start on Sunday with Geisler going back to the bullpen. Geisler has been solid but he gives us some much needed depth in the pen.

Going to be a tough series. GASO is a solid club with good pitching and we can struggle away from home so can not get swept again. Hump and Challenger will be a good Friday night matchup.

Back to Brandon Lewis on mid-week games or someone else? Also we have two mid-weeks next week. Any idea on how the rotation will look with 5 games next week?

May have jumped the gun a week on the Hennigan start. GASO game preview showing Geisler on Sunday but ours isn't out yet. Two midweek games next week like x said may push the Hennigan move back a week but know it's what they want to do with Hennigan throwing better as of late. May depend if we choose to use Geisler out of the pen Fri or Sat. Weather looking iffy for Fri night.

If we do burn Hennigan this weekend I'd look for Engel to maybe get a start in one of the two weekday games (if he isn't used this weekend. Ty still searching for a lefty out of the pen he can count on) and maybe back to Lewis in the other. At this stage it's time to go all-in on the conference and throw anyone with a pulse on the weekday. Goal needs to be best possible conference tourney seeding matchup we can get.

Yeah looks like same rotation this weekend as last.

Site: J.I. Clements Stadium – Statesboro, Ga.
Date: Friday, April 1 – Sunday, April 3
Time: Friday – 6 p.m. | Saturday – 6 p.m. | Sunday – 12 p.m.

Probable Pitching Matchup
Friday: #21 RHP Lucas Humpal (4-1, 2.35 ERA) vs. #14 LHP Evan Challenger (4-2, 2.63 ERA)
Saturday: #27 RHP Jeremy Hallonquist (2-1, 1.49 ERA) vs. #19 RHP Chase Cohen (2-1, 3.21 ERA)
Sunday: #9 LHP Cory Geisler (2-0, 1.06 ERA) vs. #44 RHP Brian Eichhorn (3-1, 2.30 ERA)

Great pitching matchup tonight with 2 of the better starting pitchers in the league.

Currently both teams are tied for 2nd in the league at 6-3.

Bad storms happening this morning in GA. It hadn't hit Statesboro yet, as of 9AM (here), but could get into that area later.

Bobcats sweep the doubleheader, 4-3 and 7-3.

Are now in sole possession of 2nd in the league.

Being swept by USA is going to come back to haunt us. 2nd would be a nice seed for the tournament, though. Still a lot of season to be played out. Need to get past ULL and Little Rock; who has a guy hitting .521 with no signs of slumping.

I know we are only 1/3 of the way through conference play, but I don't know if anyone is caching USA. They are 11-0 and strolling through conference play so far.

Cats score 3 in the 9th to get the road sweep 4-3.

Good weekend for the ballclub.

It was mentioned that Engle may start one of the games Tuesday or Wednesday. Engle did pitched over the weekend. On Saturday he faced three batters. He hit two and walked one. Since he only threw 10 pitches, he should be good to go.

Seems he has the same issue I had back in the 3rd grade when I was pitching.

Hodson bailed him out of that inning as I think we only allowed 1 of those runs to score.

If I had to venture a guess I'd say we go Hennigan on Tuesday then Lewis on Wednesday.
