I don't even know where to start. The last few weeks have been tough to say the least.

Like each of the last 3 years, after a 4 game losing streak and being a longshot to make the playoffs, the Texans are ready to reel off a bunch of ultimately pointless wins.

The defense finally looked good today facing a rookie QB drafted in the 6th round.

Andre Johnson is the man. Cortland Finnegan has been one of the biggest d-bags in the league for a while. Glad to see him get put in his place. Even Tennessee fans were happy to see him get beat down.

Mario Williams out for the year, Andre Johnson hasn't played in nearly 2 months. Despite not having their best players on both sides of the ball the Texans build a comfortable lead in the AFC South and via the Ravens loss to the Seahawks yesterday pull into first place in the AFC.

Promptly, the quarterback is injured and declared out for the season. God hates the Texans.

ESPN is the only "Insider" info to say Schaub is out for the year. Everyone else has actually talked to Kubiak who is the only person I trust right now. I say Schaub gets 2-3 weeks off after the bye and if the Texans are winning, they will let him heal up, let Leinart stay in (unless he is godawful) and maybe let him play some in the final regular season game so that he shakes off the rust before the playoffs.

If this ^^^^ happens, I can see Schaub being heavily taped up for the playoff game/s.

All is not lost Texans fans!!

I will say the schedule is favorable for Leinart. I see 11-5 as easily attainable for Leinart (12-4, maybe 13-3 if Schaub were playing).

If that's the case, then the Texans can let schaub sit for geez... almost 2 months before getting him to suit up again. I got no idea how long a Lisfranc injury takes to heal, but I gotta hope it can be good to go by then.

That would put Schaub back under center for the first game after the bye in the playoffs.

If this information is accurate it looks like it could take anywhere from 6-12 weeks.

Well, it is official now. Schaub to the IR and Kellen Clemens has been signed as the 3rd QB. I was hoping Schaub could get some rehab and come back for the first game of the playoffs.

We are really screwed now. Yates a rookie QB will be leading the Texans for the forseeable future. I think a veteran QB has to be brought in to help lead this team into and thru the playoffs.

There's no veteran out there that could do better than Yates.

Who do you want?

Garcia?
Croyle?
Edwards?
Favre?

The only one... and this will never happen... Is Kurt Warner (and I hate the guy).

We signed Jake Delhomme. I wasn't stating that Yates cant do the job, I was simply stating that with Lienart out we will have/had to sign a QB. Yates knows the playbook, has a great group of guys to throw the ball to, the best running game in the NFL, the best OLine in the NFL, and the best Defense in the NFL. He couldnt be in a better position for success. He is a rookie and if he cant handle it I think Delhomme/Kellen Clemens are both viable options.
