One of them must have been the Chi Omega house back in the 80's...

The sorority gig was just a front...

Oh, and the person who posted the rant Herbert's sucks needs to be escorted out of town...permanently. I'm guessing wearing UT garb on their way out. Let's have some respect for Old Man Herbert, the flies, occasional roach, greasy taco's, home made chips, and out of this world ice tea...

That sir, can be arranged.

I believe 3:30-3:45p is 10 cent Guiness Happy Minutes.

10 cents for 12 oz. of dark delicious goodness is a great deal.

The bloody mary's rule.

All the crap on the walls is great too.

When I was in school at our beloved university the biggest house of ill repute was Bexar Hall. I saw things done there that i did not think were possible.

Green Parrot...That's where I proposed to my wife (way too many Margaritas that night!)...Ya, we are still married...after you enter the place, it was the last booth on the left, just before you go down into the back area...if it is still set up the same? Word to the wise...Watch out young, current students... You never know who is going to wind up being the wifey and what memories you will have shared together...Make'em all good!

I have spent many of nights at the lowdown, but the prices have changed. If I am not mistaken happy minutes for lone star is like 50 cents. So you must adjust the price for G.

I was just thinking that I would have found out by now if I could get Guiness THAT cheap somewhere in town...

I said Herbert's sucks and I stand by it.

Casa Maria is down and dirty though. Any place that has Machacado is a new favorite of mine- it actually looks like a fun place to catch a game too- good lookin margs and decent beer on happy hour.

Oh, and resorting to the original intent of this post: the best bar in town is certainly not the new "Irish" joint. That place is just corny. I'd like it more, in fact, if it wasn't shamrocked out.
