I think that she is religious (not sure if pressured though) but her dad would be reaching out to the church to assign someone to mentor her. I will bring up your recommendation to see if she would prefer that instead.

She wouldn't qualify for pell I don't think. I'll pass on the locations above and see what she thinks. I do know that the living environment at BYU is pretty terrible so maybe Lindsay Oaks is an option.

I appreciate the time and info Bleed. Thanks

She was on her way to go visit the school and look around for an apartment on her own two days ago when her mom randomly decided to go (Odd since it's a 5 hour drive). She ended up at the Mormon church that you discussed Bleed, and the guy there told her that she should should stay at BYU (That religion is so much like a cult). She stuck to her guns, is now enrolled in TXST, has an appointment to speak to a transition counselor, and has a lease at University Height Apartments. She's a quiet timid kid that never goes against her parents and this was really surprising.

She's a high quality person, a brilliant writer, and has a 3.8 at BYU. TXST is lucky to get her.

Thanks for all the opinions and info from everyone. It made a difference.
