What I find hilarious about this campaign season is the arguments Bush/McCain supporters have vs. what Obama supporters have...

Typical arguments against Bush:

• He sent troops into Iraq without ever finding WMD's, by misleading, and taking advantage of Americans' frustration and anger surrounding terror and 9/11
• He wants to retain an American presence in Iraq for many years to come (occupation)
• He hasn't found Osama, dead or alive.
• He has ruined our economy in part because of the war
• He is a horrendous speaker
• He snobbishly ignores the points-of-view of our allies all the while globally ruining our reputation
• He hasn't funded the search for alternate energy sources, AND won't refine here, even where it's not environmentally protected.
• Despite whether or not man-made global warming exists, he doesn't give a damn about protecting our environment because it's 'too expensive' (cap and trade)

Typical arguments against Obama

• His name is Obama. If you change the 'b' to an 's' its's Osama!
• His middle name is Hussein!
• He has occasionally not worn a flag lapel pin and is therefore a terrorist who is unpatriotic and hates America
• His pastor is racist against white people
• His wife was tardy in becoming proud of her country
• He smokes cigarettes
• He did drugs as a youth
• I heard somewhere that he's a Muslim!
• He's an empty suit (Ask Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reily what that means)
• I heard somewhere he was born in Africa!

Hmmmmm....so much for actual substance in your arguments......

Funny that the people who regurgitate these 'reasons' cry 'racist' at Rev Wright as if NONE of these comments aren't a bit racially fear-mongering at their core. Riiiiiiiight......

I might be out of line here, but while I definitely disagree with Wright's assertion that America 'created' aids, I do find many of his other points kind of insightful if you look at them objectively. I would most definitely say that God has 'damned' America, given our current economy, and administration, wouldn't you?

Also, it should be noted that the point here is not whether the arguments against Bush or Obama are actually factual, but rather, the fact that the maturity level of the arguments vary substantially.

Use your brain folks. Which arguments seem valid to you? Which arguments seem even worth opening your mouth about? Which arguments actually pertain to the well-being of our country?

It doesn't take a racist, unpatriotic, smoking, non-flag-lapel-wearing, non-proud-wife-having, African-born, terrorist-middle-name-havin' empty suit to figure that out!

Great points. But don't forget......Obama was raised muslim because he attended school in a islamic country. You know, kinda like me being raised a catholic because I went to catholic school.
