End of day 2 Men in 6th (6), women in 2nd (9).

George getting hurt doesn't help the men's chances. He injured himself in the long jump. He runs 100m and the 4x100. He didn't run the 100 so you know the injury has hampered him. Hopefully we have an equally fast runner to replace him in that relay.

We need to make ground on these type races because our distance runners, 1500 and up, are not good.

Didn't we win the men's indoor championship?

Would think we would be challengers for the outdoor also?

On the strength of the relays and the guys that run the individual matching events. We should place well in the triple jump. Good shot at top 3 in the high jump and pole vault. Huckaby did not do well in the shot. Have to see how he fares in the discus (6th best throw in SBC on season)

We still do not do well in distance races. That's why we show so poorly in XCountry. Need to get some good distance runners in the fold. Both teams seem to not be able to pull elites in for those but it hasn't happened for quite a while. (There is some cross over on the teams)

So far today

M discus - 6th 3 pts

Triple just ended. Our guy didn't have a qualifying distance listed going in but he went 50 feet on 6th jump/foul. They didn't put up placings yet. I know the stAte guy won. He's nationally ranked.

Update - we finished out of points in M Triple

Women making a move on USA. Took 1st and 9th in discus for 11 points.

Currently W Triple (in 2nd right now) and M Pole Vault (6th early)

Arnold (PV) has 2 misses and has dropped to 9th after 3 rounds

Ladies took 2nd in Triple

Men's high jump about to get underway.

When the track finals start I probably won't be able to keep up with the scoring.

Best time in the SBC all season long.

Nice to see the men dip under 40 to win in 39.99 in the 4x1.

1-2 in the 800 for men also helped a lot.

Both teams end up 3rd. Solid start in coach Stewart's first outdoor championships.

Guys scored 99 points on day 3 to pull up from 7th. We just need to get some better field athletes and some more distance runners to place.

The 20 points the gals left on the track cost them 1st place.

Leading 4x100 and missed last pass

Leading 100m hurdles, gal knocked our gal and she fell into next to last hurdle. It was that or she ran in to our lane and rattled her enough that it threw her off. They didn't show a replay of it.

1st one DQ
2nd 1 - 8th place

(ok, so 19 points.)

19 more points would have given us 139 and 1st.
