And of course we play the 11am game all 3 days...
No respect.

Friday - 3/1:
Rice

Saturday - 3/2:
Houston

Sunday 3/3:
Baylor

Don't play A&M or TCU.

Honest question: why should we get respect?

Like I told someone else: "couldn't be less surprised".

I bet the reason we got the 11am game all 3 days has less to do with our team and more to do with our fanbase though. I mean Rice's baseball team doesn't deserve anymore respect than we do based on recent results but they got a 7pm game and a 3pm game. I mean hell we won more games than they did this year. They probably just expect our fan base to travel significantly worse than the other 5 teams. And they'd be right.

Anyway, not saying we deserve more respect. Just pointing out we got none. Air has already kind of been let out of this tournament for us with 3 morning games and not playing A&M or TCU.

Not bad.

3 game series with UTSA. 2 in SA. Series continues as usual rotating 2 home/1 away each season. 2 games were in SM in 2018 and 2 should be in SM in 2020.
Home and Home with UIW. Don't think we've ever played them in SA. Not a fan. Usually just one game a year with them in SM.
Home and Home with Rice. I like.
Home and Home with Texas. This is usually a 3-game series with 2 in Austin. I like home and home better.

Single home games vs. Baylor, A&M-Corpus, and HBU. Baylor is usually an in-season home and home. One game in SM is nice (may be just one in Waco next year though).

Single away game vs. A&M. When's the last time they've come to SM? I'd consider dropping them if they refuse to come here anymore. We have plenty of quality options that will.

Yes we are having the tourney at home. The Mcneese thing isn't bad as Creighton is usually pretty good. We are going to Mcneese to pay the home and home from last year back. If you know college baseball you will like UCONN coming to San Marcos. They are a very good team. Last year they may have gotten into the top 10 in mid season. They still have the core of that team intact. If you want to have a glimpse of this years team, we are scrimmaging Northeast Texas Community College Friday at 3 o'clock. We scrimmaged Lamar last Saturday for 16 innings and did fine. We have a lot of new faces this year.

Yeah saw that they beat Lamar 8-4 over 16 innings last weekend.

UConn should be a good home series. We've grown accustomed to getting a series at home every year with a pretty good team from up north though (Oklahoma State, Purdue, and Notre Dame come to mind from recent years). Benefit of our mild winters.

Baseball scheduling isn't really ever a complaint of mine. Overall I feel we do a pretty good job there. Football too for that matter. Basketball is what kills me.
