The ump crew yesterday was an abortion.

What if Pagano was on the ground with a blown out knee? They still going to make him finish the batter?

But he wasn't. What was the injury? Was there one or were we declaring one to try and get him off the mound by bending the rules? There was no visible sign of an injury.

Probably should've just yanked him after the walk instead of talking to him.

I understand your point but not the rule. Is it the umps digression on if a player is injured? Also, doesn't that open up a lot of issues to non-visible injuries? What if a guys shoulder is acting up and he does some serious damage finishing the at bat? Now, what if he is a top MLB prospect?

FWIW Pagano looked off from his first warm up pitch. I would have pulled him after the first batter and made that comment to the people sitting around me.

Pagano doesn't throw hard or have great stuff. He seems to just work the edges of the plate. When it's working - great. When it's not, he walks a lot of batters and falls behind in the count - forcing him to serve it up right over the middle of the plate.
