It's location. If you lose at home it hurts more than if you lose on the road. Conversely, a road win is worth more than a home win.
The changes were put into place a few years back due to many northern teams having to seek road games early in the season. (because of weather) However, it's more in baseball than softball.

You also have to understand the concept of percentages for your w/l, your opponents w/l and your oponnent's opponents w/l

Oddly, USA has been a staple at the top of the heap in the SBC for years. Not sure what's going on with them but they started to sink last year.

Yes, they play 2 Saturday and 1 Sunday. (unless weather forces a change)

The circular, underhand, motion for softball pitching is a natural motion and doesn't wear on the arm like throwing overhand. Pitchers can go almost daily because of it. (I was one, back in the day) I don't believe they have max innings allowed like they did when I played, though, so they can go on (figuratively) forever. The more common injury is knees because of the mound push off/leg plant.

ok, thanks for the info. With just 1 mid-week gm(Wed.)against Baylor, Lady 'Cats should be well rested for showdown with ULL.

Lady Cats back up to #28 in RPI but CSM poll has ULL (31) in their 25 but not TXST, due to record.

Hopefully they get some votes in the coaches poll tomorrow.

Bobcats win pitching duel with Baylor on RBI groundout in bottom of 7th.

#28 RPI knocks off #9 RPI.

TXST has now played 3 out of top 10 RPI in OOO schedule.

They also swept their B12 opponents for the 2017 season. That sounds so great. Lady's got game.

It was a fun game to be at. Baylor had quite a few fans attend. Luckily they went home unhappy. R. Rupp is something else. She deserves all the honors she gets and then some.

100% agree. The part I still can't quite wrap my hands around is how gast mangaged to tee off on her with 22 hits in just 15 2/3 innnings. Wasn't able to watch that series but I'm willing to bet several of those were bloops or infield hits that could have just as easily been recorded as errors. I'd love it for Rupp if we could get the bats going to take some pressure off of her as we rank 235th in BA and will be playing ULL this weekend who is ranked 10th. may not be the matchup we are looking for, hope that isn't the case... but we have had a hitting problem in as many years as I can remember

On the other hand, I think arugments can be made that Quincy is an extremely strong #2 pitcher, not that it matters all that much in softball but it may in post-season to keep batters honest and give them something else to see.
