Post Texas coaching job
Have heard and seen Ty Harrington mentioned for the position twice today. Jeff on Twitter and on 104.9 the horn this morning. Could this really happen? Multiple candidates have turned the job down so far. Please please please :D :D

Keff and 104.9 know as much about UT baseball as Bert and Ernie.

Nope. It is more likely for LarryBoy and me to get married than for Ty to end up at UT. His career trajectory is not upward at this point--UT will get a younger up & coming coach.

Dan Heefner (Dallas Baptist) - turned down Baylor last year
Chris Pollard (Duke) - has made progress at Duke, but worked a miracle at App State
Andrew Checketts (UCSB) - I think he is the most likely target for UT if they want splashy
Casey Dunn (Samford) - I think he would be a great pick...

Coaches far and wide are turning this gig down. Last I heard the Oregon and UCLA coaches said thanks but no thanks.

I dislike a$m worse than tu and hate tu. The culture at a$m is not for me.
You can't be talking about me.

i'm 100% talking about you (although you aren't alone there).

the fact that you use tu to describe texas, is quintessential aggie. and you do it without fail.
the fact that you say ridiculous shit about texas without regard to whether there's any truth to it at all, is quintessential aggie.
you can say you hate a&m all you want, but your actions scream aggie mentality.

I'm glad you know me so well.
The reason I use the term tu is that it pisses off Longhorns. Works well doesn't it.

well, it's certainly stupid. just like faggies, techtards, cockroaches, barners, ol' piss, fusc, criminoles, nutsack, etc. it's also a 100% aggie thing, just like sips - no one other than aggies call texas that. ou doesn't. tech doesn't. tcu doesn't. if you're going to quack and waddle, don't be surprised when someone calls you a duck.

Back on topic....I'll be happy to coach for them. There are a ton of guys out there that have the skill to coach at that level. The school itself nullifies the recruiting aspect and all you have to do is negotiate the UT politics (win), player eval/develpement and then pre and in-game strategies. Sweet paycheck I'm sure.

Greg Swindell mentioned yesterday on Twitter that he thinks the horns should give Harrington a call.
