In a busy offseason, Texas State Men's basketball has made some key moves for the future. First and foremost, Danny Kaspar was extended as Head Coach through the 2023 season, ensuring some stability even if the Cats make the NCAA Tourney next year.

Two quality recruits were also added today:

6'8" Forward Isiah Small out of Jersey City, N.J. who played for the Seward County Saints last season. He will possibly step into the backup role while he learns Kaspar's system while Sule takes Peacock's spot in the starting five.

6'0" Guard Micah Thomas out of Oklahoma City, OK. He played at SIU Edwardsville last season after leading his team to the 6A State Championship game in 2018. With rumors of Shead exploring a transfer and Nottingham lost to graduation, Thomas will immediately be called upon to complement Mason Harrell in that scenario.
