90-80 final. 9-1 is TXST's best start since 1952 and 3rd best start of all-time. 7 Straight wins is the longest winning streak since 1993.

Sule with another HUGE game. Double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Pearson with 14 points.
Peacock with 11. Shead and Nottingham with 10 each.

Saw that. Arkansas is certainly beatable. Tough road game first down at UTRGV next Saturday though. No mid-week game this week. Probably getting the week off to focus more on finals.

@TXST4Life

Freshman Forward @alonzo_sule is 19/21 in the last two games for 45 points on 90.4% shooting. That's not a typo. @BillCulhane22

I noticed Shead limping off the court as the teams were shaking hands. Hopefully he will be ok. The game would have been a blowout if not for Ian Dubose. He is a very good player and only a sophomore. Agree with everyone on Sule. The young man may be what we have been looking for at the 5. I would leave Terry as starter though. It's an advantage to have bench players perform like he has. I just would not mess with the chemistry right now. :eatemup:

I like him providing a spark off the bench. Definitely needs to be finishing games though.

I haven’t read the whole thread but has anybody noticed DK doing more coaching and talking to the players rather than barking. It seems like he trusts these guys. Peacock being a leader on the floor even when he wasn’t playing well changes the dynamic.

Never thought I would see a team coached by Kaspar allow 55 points in one half and win. His wife said he was fired up for this game and still upset about last years game. Apparently he was embarrassed by it. Good to see the players respond to him.

Weird answer, but I think he yells less when the players fuck up less....

It was an embarrassing loss. We lost by 19 to a 6 win team in a HS gym.

This. We've won 7 straight. No need to tinker. Sule looks good coming off the bench right now. Let's also keep in mind we're basing all this on 2 games vs. an entire season + 11 games for Terry.

Last time we went down there was two years ago when we finished the season 22-14 and they went 10-22. They beat us by 11.

I have watched a lot of DK in person going back to his SFA days. It just has a different feel this year. Peacock struggled in the first half with some fouls and turnovers. His reaction to him was completely different than last year. He calmly called him over and had a two way conversation. He would have been chewing his ass last year. I’m not suggesting DK is a new person, I just think he trusts this team’s effort and commitment. It seems to go beyond the team getting Ws and playing well.

We had a nice fan turnout for that one too. (For a road game)
