This site is crashing and crapping out more and more lately. I really wish someone could get ownership of it and do major upgrades.

I'm going by average rating, which is above .800 (3*)for the first time ever.

@Keff_C

Eight signed for #TXST, waiting on two more with Lewisville safety Kevin Anderson and Smithson Valley OL Ronald Copney III. Anderson will sign at 2 pm. Copney had a ceremony this morning so may just be waiting on paperwork for his announcement.

Sounds like Edgerrin Williams decommited at some point and nobody caught it. He's still listed as committed on 247.

Per Keff, expecting Kevin Anderson and Ronald Copney to sign today to finish the day with 10.

Anziah Williams still committed but not expected to sign today.

which means more than half our remaining class would need to be 3* to close at the same level. avg star rating means nothing until your class is about 80% full.

That's not how math works. Nevertheless, why I said shaping up.

i'm not trying to get too finite w/ the details, but if you think we end up w/ class average of over .8/80 without half* of the remaining commits being above that line, i'm not sure what to tell you.

* because of odd numbers and thousandths of points and all that. half-ish?

We currently have 5 of 12 with an .802 average, which is less than half listed as 3*. One .840 plus two .790 is above .800. Don't need more than half like we don't have more than half now. On average, this class is on track to be the best one yet.

97: just so we're clear, you're counting a *** kid that has decommitted but hasn't been removed from the 247 list. so, we're actually under that magic .8/80 line right now.

regardless, signing more kids from under that line than over it going forward pulls the average down, especially if they are along the lines of the players spav and company offered so far. it's nice to get those higher rated guys like anderson, but history says they are few and far between for us (less than 1/yr @ .84+).

That's a product of quantity right now. We only have 10 but the quality is better on average so far. It's a good start but certainly not counting my chickens.

But you conveniently exclude the lowest rated player (Anziah Williams) who didn't sign from your argument. Hate losing Edgerrin but our average is actually higher than .802.

This is a new era. Book it!
