How is anything I said “bashing” the commits?

You just called a FBS player as FCS player, referring that they are not good enough to play FBS. There are plenty of reasons why players dont get stars or recognized my other programs. I believe most of the talkers do not know how to evaluate talent. Has anyone watched Cromartie play. Called some contacts, found he shut down a top receiver going to Ohio State. Staff found out to and we have be lucky, not at sign day yet.

I see improvement. Even though the improvement is painfully slow, there is improvement. I honestly believe Withers is doing it the right, you dont want a Baylor or Penn State incident, we will never recover. Yall impatient, me too, realistically, i see competitive in 2020.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by competitive?

Because to me, we should be knocking on competitive this season, and ascending past that to contender next season. Now, I fully grant you, this is a timeline that is in a vacuum (barring absurd injuries, etc)... But 4 years (2016 - 2020) is just too long to wait to be "competitive".

I'm not saying I disagree with your assessment, but there's a lot of wiggle room between being a terrible football team and rapin' folks.

There were serious talks of James Franklin being in the hot seat 2 years ago. He "floundered" (by PSU standards) his first 2 seasons before bringing them back.

What have we done, period? 1 winning season in the FBS.

not sure where the comparison to pedo state is coming from.
they had almost zero drop-off from paterno to bob (16-10 to 15-9) and then they hired a top 10 coach for $4.6mil. it's also been 6 seasons for them, vs 2 for us.
in the 7 years before bob, they won 67 games, 4 bowl games, 11 games 3x and no losing seasons. so...nothing anything like our history (78-84 is close though).
the only real parallel is that franklin did worse in his 1st 2 years than bob (15-9 to 14-12).

Tomorrow... he's committing somewhere:

Andrew Henry ‏@_andrewhenry
Jun 25
Committing July 6th ......

RB out of Allen HS.

He was at Party In The Park and in the photo with verbal commits QB McKinney, Hill, TE Watson and OT Copney.... so I'm hoping he's committing to us.

I feel pretty good about getting Henry's commitment tonight.

Would be a very nice pickup for the 2019 class.

Got our 2nd crystal ball projection on 247 today predicting Henry commits to TXST.

25 minutes away from his announcement.

Boom.

Andrew Henry from Allen commits to the bobcats.

Top ranked commit in the 2019 class so far.
3rd highest rated all time HS commit.
Ranked 50th best RB in the nation.

Big get.
