Here's the ESPN chance of winning based on FPI for each Saturday home game:
9/8 - Texas Southern - 97.3%
10/6 - Louisiana - 57.1%
10/2 - New Mexico State - 37.4%
11/10 - App State - 23.4%
11/24 - Arkansas State - 22.2%

Louisiana has our number. Can't say I agree with the 57% chance of winning, but we have our best shot in years to beat them for the first time. Weather should be really nice in October. Family Weekend usually yields decent crowds with more students having their folks tagging along.

New Mexico State loses a lot (Tyler Rogers and Larry Rose are both gone). I actually think we have a better shot than 37%. That's a 50/50 game to me. Although NMST has been a staple on the schedule for the last 5 seasons this will be the last time they will be in San Marcos for the foreseeable future as they're no longer in the conference. Again, weather should be nice this time of year. This is the Homecoming game as well.

I'd almost flip the two percentages for these games.

Thanks X. Yeah, those first 2 home games might just do. I've gone to 2 openers(Pine-Bluff and PVAMU), and you're right about the crowds. Would like to see us get possible 1st win over ULL, and it's 2 days after my birthday.

Don't want to sound like a fair weather fan. but it's just a long day from Houston and back to see a game.

Also true about the game after Thanksgiving. I went to Troy game year before last and it was dead.

Guys... can we move the discussion on season and things non-recruiting to Taxman's post about the upcoming season?

My hunch would be Eric Gipson (OLB). He's been posting the last few weeks about TXST. Just a guess mainly because of the DEs likes on 24/7, I haven't seen any of them visiting to this point.

The commit is a DE.

I'm pretty sure it's Devin Martinez out of Belton, TX.

Did Larry tell withers he would be coaching an fcs squad?? Because it looks like that’s the type of talent he’s recruiting. Over half of these commits have ONLY fcs offers. I understand finding a diamond in the rough but what the hell. Glad to know we’re winning the recruiting war with powerhouses like incarnate word and houston baptist. Program is a joke

The same could be said for frank wilson who is known as a good recruiter with utsa. Half of their current commits have zero other fbs offers yet their fans do not bash their commits.

How is anything I said “bashing” the commits?

A defensive back named Cromartie. Probably one of Antonio's kids.

That's because their commits routinely kick the azzzzzzzz of our commits.
