 Re: NSD2
Exactly taxman... The difference from this OL class compared to last seasons (Foster, Carlile, Jordan, and King) is athleticism and/or quickness off the snap. Carlile and Jordan seem to be physical guys while Foster who played TE in HS seems a little more finesse but was able to manage well at 265lbs. King not entirely sure where he fits (guard or tackle). Of the 4 we signed in 2018 class, 3 are very quick off the snap in Cooks (for a 270 guy he moves like a athletic TE); Moore moves nicely for a big guy as well, and Macadory is impressively quick for a 290lb kid. Momerelle is a big wall of a guy that pushes guys out of his way. In the last two classes, we had Brewer start by game 3 or 4 in 2016 (Withers' recruit/signee) and then Foster/Jordan in 2017 (Withers' first true class)... I would not be surprised to see 2 of these 4 in 2-deep or possibly 3 of them. On the DL, it seems we added 1 DT in Ezidore and 3 DEs in Lynch, Schaefer, and Calvin. On paper, we already have 4 NTs. All 4 have potential but I'd be surprised to see more than 2 get many reps this season due to size of DEs. We did fill needs more than anything in this class from filling up at WR, DB (CB/S), TE, K/P but we did leave some holes like at ILB in particular. That is a glaringly and surprisingly lack of depth position with only 4 ship ILB and Graham having some experience last spring at position.

 Re: NSD2

 Re: NSD2
hcew specifically mentioned we are 3 deep at lb and have 4 solid rb, so that's why none this cycle.

 Re: NSD2
not sure I agree we have 4 solid rb...we dont know what we have yet with versey and nelson. i would have agreed we would be going into this season with 4 solid if tutt didnt have any off the field speedbumps. tutt was going to challenge adt brown and smith for playing time though we never got to see that with his injuries and deplorable ol we had in 2016

Sounds like either Graham or another OLB will move inside and/or they may give a PWO a scholarship. That is about the only way to be 3 deep at "LB" meaning ILB and OLB. Hope he's right.

 Re: NSD2
I was pretty surprised they didn’t take a RB or LB.
RB I can somewhat see but think five is a good number for that position. With everyone coming back in ‘19, whoever is 3/4 on the depth chart, could be on transfer watch.
LB was what really shocked me. It is a very junior heavy group with 6 of the 11 scholarship guys. At inside LB, before potential position changes, there are three juniors and one sophomore at a position that starts two players. There’s only one on the roster for ‘20 right now.
We have plenty of #s to add so not taking a player at these two spots, especially LB, is the only thing that I think is a negative for this recruiting cycle.
