I think he would say that he needs time more than anything. The other stuff he can't really say without calling his AD out in the media.

Hudspeth is out at oohlaLa! We would be glad to take him in a heart beat to fill our vacancy at AD or offensive or defensive coordinator! Let's hire him on as a higher paid coordinator with a contigency that if Withers hasn't won a bowl by the end of the 2019 season he's in as HC!

The coach from that season was just hired as the head coach at UTEP.

UTEP named Dana Dimel head coach today. Not sure I like that hire for them.

guarantee a single season of 0-11 feels a lot better than 3 season endless destruction of 3-34. if only we could ever say we had a heisman like ware

I'm quite certain you wouldn't have been ok with Dimel's performance at UH:
2000 - 3-8
2001 - 0-11
2002 - 5-7

thats probably accurate. but i would never go to grocery cart university to begin with- those kids at that school should never have high expectations to begin with its truly amazing how they are able to get people to show up there. however our 3 season bust didnt feature 8 fbs wins over the likes of louisville, 2x memphis, smu and 2x army.lets not compare what has happened to us in the last 28 months to any even to ever happen in human history

Thankful I didn't buy season tickets these last two years. Things have been tough financially for me so its been hard to justify spending the money on the bobcats given the on the field product. Did manage to catch most of the games on TV/ESPN3 however. This past season I was actually very impressed with the defense. Honestly it was the best defensive showing by the 'Cats since 2005 IMO, not that this is saying much since crappy defense has been pretty much the norm in the last 12 years. In general this team has a feel that all the pieces just aren't there yet. With so many freshmen and sophomores playing that's to be expected however. We're in desperate need of a QB and I'm not sure Willie Jones Jr is the answer, obviously he's an incredibly gifted athlete, but still not sure if he's the one that will takes to a bowl. Regardless I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. For sure I'm buying season tickets, not sure on donating but certainly I'll be attending some football games again in 2018.

I'm really hoping King can at least get picked up as a free agent after the draft this spring. He may not have exceptional hands, speed, or size but he has a lot of the similar qualities that Mayo had but just in a receiver. In short, he has all the intangibles to be a true playmaker. It would be great for him and it would be great for our program. I just hope that he is interested and a franchise is interested in him... I just haven't even heard whether or not he is even interested in going the NFL route. When I had some doubts during the 2017 season of whether or not he would match his 2016 season... he ended up having a great 2017 season and he deserves to get all the looks from scouts and at least an invitation to the combine.

I think pro days are usually before the combine so we will see if he attends a pro day if they have one at TXST or otherwise in Austin or perhaps UTSA.

He's played 4 seasons already. His eligibility has run out.
