Post Most exciting player post FBS transition
Who are your top 3 most exciting players to watch from 2012 season to present?

Must include at least one defensive player and elaborate on your top pick.

1. CJ Best - I always enjoyed watching him elude tacklers. Thought his potential was much higher than he achieved. Imagine if he actually had more space/time (better blocking) with which to work.

2. Robert Lowe

3. Frankie Griffin - Kid's young and comes to play every game.

I agree with Saul on Jones. His frosh and sophomore years, it was fun to watch him. His junior and senior years? He just seemed... beat down and apathetic. He was never a vocal leader, but it just seemed that people saw his desire to win in the early years, and afterwards, just meh.

Mayo. I hadn't enjoyed watching a LB play since Greg Pitts WAY back when. He was just flat out fun to watch play.

CJ Best, when he got his hands on the ball and a little room to get going? zoom zoom.

Mayo for me. Love that he is still playing on Sundays.

Jones is up there but his last two seasons depress me. Thanks Fran.

Mayo
Jones
and I really liked Mishak Rivas...he was here for 1 year before going down to A&M Kingsville but the dude while small was fast and explosive.

damn. I'll have to edit as he was here in 2009: http://www.txstatebobcats.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=1406

I'm gonna go with Marcus Curry. Dude always seemed to be hurt but when he was healthy he was great. Thought he had much more potential just was never healthy, IIRC.

That girl that followed Fran around on the sideline carrying his headset that always looked like someone peed in her cheerios.

I had fun watching Robert Lowe and Chris Nutall.

I'd recommend you start watching Bryan London. He's been fun to watch the last two seasons and only a sophomore. He could be the next great TXST LB by the end of his career here.

Oh, we've had some really good LB play with London and Loyd.

But man... Pitts back in 02 I think? That kid was really good on a bad football team.

01 he was really good as well. I remember because i was working a part time job in my final semester with the SID office as a spotter for stats.

Pitts always seemed to be in double digits. Of course that was 16 years ago so memory is a bit fuzzy.
