Post Following #FireTeis, athletics donors pull support
Alumni, fans and other donors have pulled athletics donations, citing mismanagement, hostility and complacency from the athletic department.

In the wake of the #FireTeis banner that flew at the Oct. 27 homecoming game that called for the firing of Atheltic Director Larry Teis, current and former donors have spoken out against the program’s complacency

Dustin Hacker, a 2003 alumnus, said he canceled his tickets and donations this season and the department never called to ask why.

“I was one of the first donors to buy into the champions club,” Hacker said. “I had 50-yard line seats, was chairman of the Bobcat Club, and donated on average to athletics around $4,000. This was the first year I haven’t had season tickets to football or joined Bobcat Club. (I have not had) one phone call from (assistant athletic directors) Travis Comer or Don Coryell.”

These are the articles that we need to get rid of Teis. I had season tickets and donated for several years. I donated around $500 and had upper level 45 yard line seats on the dark side but stopped after 2015/2016. I have let the AD surveys know that I will never donate or buy season tickets again until Teis is gone. The sad part is that I have gotten used to spending my money elsewhere and doing other things in the fall that even if he does leave I am not sure how fast I will come back.

The last part is what is so typical and painful...

The Bobcat Club and Texas State Athletics were reached out to for comment numerous times over a three week period. Both entities refused to comment. The Star will continue to update this story as details become available.

Much. Ado. About. Nothing.

People are disgruntled at going 2-10, 2-10, 3-9.....but they won't blame the coach they were so excited to support, so they find the scapegoat to save face.

All these articles you guys keep getting "excited about" are recycling of cut and paste of the website content created from the same people that then come on here and say we are getting press (which we aren't).

did you notice the part about the donors that stopped donating in 2014? Were they just planning on Withers not doing well, so go ahead and get in front of it, so their excuse was built in?

It's like you are intentionally oblivious. I'm more and more convinced you are just a professional troll.

I'm equally pissed that Harrington is still our baseball coach and exponentially more pissed that there's now turf.
