.......in 22 years of following college football have I ever seen this many coaches leave a program, most willingly, in less than a year. I've lost count by now. Five, six?

Taxman... I'd consider this as a major concern if we didn't lose coaches to Raiders, Notre Dame, Boston College, or Miss. St.

Here is why it happened:
http://krqe.com/2017/06/19/assistant-coach-charles-mcmillian-is-leaving-lobos-football/
I know him as he's from Bryan, Texas and I went to school with his brother. This article was posted June 19th. Sucks for us no doubt but its part of the game.

When coaches want your coaches, some seem to think that is a bad thing.

Not a single one left for a promotion, which is what you'd normally see. Most of them actually took demotions (albeit not in pay) to leave.

You're disgusting and sick. And between the both of us, there is only one who covers for him like he's their love child. So you need to check yourself.

More money for less responsibility? Sounds like a win. Seems the problem at TXST is pay for assistants more than anything else.

and better school/program, save the most recent. not exactly uncommon for someone to accept a lower title, for more money, at a bigger company, in the real world. but that's not where taxman lives.

What does everyone think the budget for assistants should be?

I always bandied about the idea of $1MM for all the assistants, but honestly... I have no idea what it should be.

Should the assistants budget be equal to the HC? Higher or lower?

Just wondering what a good price would be to bring in talented assistants and have them not jump for lateral positions that make more money (though I absolutely get taking a lateral or lesser position at a P5 school... That kind of experience is important in advancing careers).
