2015 attendance to date (2 games) averaged 25,561 (S Miss 27,252 / PVA&M-24,561). The prior 3 years averaged:

2012 - 18,945 (most attended 33,006 TT game)
2013 - 18,725 (most attended Wyoming 22,015)
2014 - 20,598 (most attended Navy 32,006)

The 10th most attended game was ARK PB opener in 2014 with 17,813.

There are four games left...this Saturday, then Nov 7 (homecoming/1st Sat of Wurstfest) followed by Nov 14 (last Sat of Wurstfest) then 5 days later a Thursday night game on Nov 19.

Cats are 1-4...remaining teams to play @ home today are 6-18 combined with half the wins belonging to S Alabama.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics
Mark Twain

There will be the day when there are literally 259 people in the stands at BCS... and then somehow "they" will state 22,509 people "officially" attended. Ya, ya, ya I know all about the "tickets sold counting" BS. I get it. But to me, "attendance" means actually attending. You know... butts in the seats and actually being there in person. And the other part "that's how all the other programs do it". Hah! Everything friggin thing counted today is some kind of technicality. "Welllll, technically...". Anyway, I didn't get credit for attending classes just because I paid for them and I don't get credit for being at work when I don't show up. Official attendance = Lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Got this e-mail yesterday. 13000 tickets sold. Rain is supposed to taper off by game time. I 'll be there with poncho and rain boots.

Go Bobcats!!

We need to take a hard look at what for sure should impact the Athletic Dept, as far as football.... the season average home attendance. Even with "fluffing" the numbers, you and I know the home attendance average is gonna be lower than it has been in years. We still have the Georgia State game which has the possibility of decent attendance (although there is Wurstfest still going)... but then we have the final Thursday home game which will definitely be sparsely attended. I will be there at the Georgia State game with camera ready for the panoramic photo of the crowd. I can't wait to see the final numbers for the season...
