HoustonSuperFan wrote: The student seats in the new north EZ are going to be really cool, especially, on the front row that will be only a few feet from the end zone end line. Most stadiums have the closest seats located about 6 feet above the playing surface, but our arrangement will be very unique. All of the new seats will be much closer to the field than the sideline seats already there.
I may have to check out the view from the new areas even though we have 45yd line seats on the second deck on the dark side.
It's going to be great when the season finally starts. I can't wait.
Don't forget to buy your season tickets so that Sept 8th doesn't have too much red in the stands. This is the very reason I purchased season tickets, on the first day, in the front row of the North EZ. I plan on renewing every year. Suprisingly, the front row was unsold for a few weeks. I wonder why people werent excited about buying up these seats? Maybe the little neat brochures should have come out before season tickets went on sale so people would be able to see how awesome these seats were. Another fumble from our awesome marketing team. I anticipate the view to be well worth the $105.00 ticket price. 4LIFE

 Re: Bobcat Stadium Webcam
I know people have been asking about new speaker system. I saw on te atheltic Facebook page they answered a question about that. The area on the middle of the north endzone structure that looks like a ribbon board can fit will be where speakers are going. Now I just hope other speakers throughout the stadium are being replaced for better quality sound this season.

I think you will find that even if the old ones aren't fixed they will sound a bit better with the new acoustics. Who knows but lets hope so.

 Re: Bobcat Stadium Webcam
Look at these freakin seats!!! I cant wait to be this close to the action. I shouldn't need to stress the importance of this section being full of maroon and gold on opening night. Please spread word to anyone who is a Texas State alumni, students and even the parents that pay for those students. The fact that these seats, which are basically close enough to smell the football stank off of the players (former players know exactly what im talking about), are still available tells us that something is wrong with the promotion being put out by the Athletic Dept. I am happy I was able to secure these seats but I hope im not surrounded by tech fans when i show up to opening night. Cause ill be drunk as shit and im sure I won't take it well! 4LIFE

That is one of best pics that I have seen. Did you take it yourself and if not, where did you get it?

There are several of them but the one i got is spelled exactly how i did here. I had to share it because it really gives you a good measurement of how close these seats are to the end zone.

 Re: Bobcat Stadium Webcam
I bought mine front row of the upper deck in the endzone. I've say in many endzone seats before and prefer to be up higher. Those front row ones you got are badass though.

Yea true dat, lower level end zone seats should suck when the action is on the other side. But as soon as I saw the construction cam showing how close the first row is I had to try them this first year. Ive never had a front row seat to any sporting event so I am excited to see the difference between these seats and the upper level general admission/ student seating, section: 222 row: infinity, I had last year. If the view is worth it it'll be a great buy, if not I may be joining you in the upper deck. I imagine the view of the field will look similar to this one taken on the opposite end zone.

The action looks off when it's at the other end of the field because it's hard to judge for far each play goes. But when a fade pass is thrown right at you it'll more than make up for it.

It will be great to be a student and sit in that section so close to the field. It will be unique.
