 We won our SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because I share my life with you guys, I thought I would let you all know that we won our superbowl. I can't tell you how hard the boys worked. I am so proud of everyone!!!!!!!! It was probably one of the most exciting games I have ever experienced. The fans in the stands had bruises from clapping and blisters from ringing bells. I have never been so iinvested in a group of people/families/kids/coaches before in my life and truly am a mess today because of it.
They overcame terrible calls that resulted in two touchdowns being reversed, one of their boys on the other team jabbing at the the eyes of our running back when he was down after a play, and the other team being up by two points, 14 to 16, with 4:30 left in the 4th. In the end we sustained a no huddle drive that consisted of about 12 plays. We eventually converted a 4th and 4 to keep the drive going and finally scored going about 60 yards with 46 seconds to go in the game. On the kickoff, they fumbled and we recovered allowing us to kneel out the game. I wish I could recreate the intensity of the experience and the pride I felt in words but, as Rev knows, I don't express myself well on paper.
The level of effort from the beginning of the season to the end was such a lesson for the boys. The hard work, never missing a practice, all the tears through bumps and bruises all made the win that much more special. I think that this season will stick with these guys until the day they die. They showed that hard work, playing fair, never quitting and never getting down when things go bad really does pay off. I don't know how they showed so much composure in the face of unbelievable pressure.
To my son and the the rest of that team:.....You were men.

Thanks. hard to believe that it is all over. Funny how youth sports can become such an important and memorable time.

Did the tiny kid who drops his head get any PT? I hope not.

Has anyone performed a background check on tpopalicious? In light of recent developments elsewhere I hope we aren't leaving him alone with all these kids. The way he and Rev interact concerns me greatly.

He would show up without pads to watch and I would ask if he was feeling better. He would say yes but wasn't ready to hit yet. I said that maybe he would like to just run through some warm ups just to ease back in and he would refuse. So, on Superbowl day, his mother called the head coach saying that she convinced him to play. Well because he hadn't practiced in about a month, we decided that we couldn't risk his health. We said that he could bring his pads and we might get him in on special teams but the game was way to intense to change anything so he was designated water boy on the sidelines.

I like grown women that give concent. Unfortunately I am married.
