Ben didn't have any hits in his pro debut Thursday night, but he did walk twice and threw out two of the three runners who tried to steal against him. Pretty good debut in my book.

With the recent addition of catcher Wil Myers and former catcher Joey Lewis to the Idaho Falls Chukars' roster, the Kansas City Royals elected to have catcher Ben Theriot leave Idaho Falls for the organization's training facility in Arizona.

Before Monday's move, Ben Theriot had been with the Idaho Falls Chukars for all of the Pioneer League season. The ninth-round draft pick out of Texas State University had been dealing with a nagging thumb injury for most of the summer.
