Bobcat Stadium on Friday Night Lights
If anyone watched this past week's episode of Friday Night Lights, I'm sure they noticed a scene that was filmed at Bobcat Stadium. A player is trying to walk-on to the football team at A&M, and he makes his audition during a practice session at "Kyle Field". I never realized until now that Kyle Field looks exactly like Bobcat Stadium, right down to the gaps between the ECZ and the stands. They basically just hung a couple of banners that said Texas A&M over any part of BCS that would identify it. Def. made me chuckle a bit.

I know they've used Bobcat Stadium in past as Texas Methodist University, or whatever fake college the coach got hired at.

Re: Bobcat Stadium on Friday Night Lights
I just wonder how much NBC paid A&M to use bits and pieces of Kyle field AND the A&M uniforms.....remember the Seattle Seahawks /A&M feud just by the use of "Home of the 12th man??"

Re: Bobcat Stadium on Friday Night Lights
seems like it'd been cheaper to send a camera crew to CS instead of doing all that CGI work to make the stadium look bigger.

Well...they did send a camera crew to CS to get the shots of the stadium they needed. The way they did it was actually cheaper. You would have had to have transported a LOT of people and equipment to CS just for that one little shot.

Also note in the second pic, just inside the 30 yard line, is the name "Jim."
He lives on.
