Thomas E. Dobson, chairman and CEO of Whataburger Restaurants, has been appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' San Antonio Branch. His term extends to Dec. 31, 2011.
The San Antonio board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas board of directors and three by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.
Board members oversee the branch and provide regional perspective to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. That information then is used to influence national monetary policy.
Dobson also is managing partner of Dobson Properties, an investment partnership, and president and CEO of Quality Broadcasting, which owns and operates KFTX Real Country radio in Corpus Christi. He is chairman of the Driscoll Foundation and Coastal Bend Community Foundation and a member of the Frost Bank advisory board of directors for the Corpus Christi region.
He attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos.

Have him print up some money for new facilities. That way we have new facilities AND we stimulate the economy by building them. Sounds win/win to me.
