Deadline for Tech game tickets. They go on sale Aug 1, so get your lazy bobcats rear in gear and buy your season tickets now. It's a no brainer to buy season tots rather than individual game tkts.

Anybody have any thoughts regarding what will be inside the center arch structure? From the camera, you can see a door.

 Re: Bobcat Stadium Webcam
Wonder if the stadium will be finished by Sept 8. Seems like a lot left to do. Guess the replacement of the track with turf is waiting on scheduling...probably can do in a few days anyway. Hard to tell how the internal work is progressing, but there was a lot to finish when I visited SM a couple of weeks ago. Anyone see the internal progress lately?

Not sure what you consider a lot to finish. If it is structural or aesthetic you need not worry, aesthetics is the easy part. If it was a ton of electrical (which I doubt as this won't have a lot) or plumbing then that could be an issue. I am guessing they are most likely ahead of schedule still at this point. If you remember correctly LT said something about last minute additions and you don't do last minute additions if you are behind.

Sly, it is coming out. Everyone is so worried but it has been stated many times that it is coming out.

 Re: Bobcat Stadium Webcam
The way I see it, we got what? Just a hair under two months to finalize. All the heavy work is done, now it's time to make sure everything is done right: toilets flush, seats don't fall apart, frito pie machine is prepped, track is taken out, etc.
Given everyone griping about the stands being too far from the action, I wonder if they could make a "loud crowd section" that is where the track is now... maybe like three rows devoted to "greek community of the month" or "loud crowd only" etc. Serves three purposes: 1. involves the students gives them an incentive to become more involved in teh school and athletics. 2. adds more seating to the stadium, and 3. reduces the number of student tickets we need to reserve.
Might only be a few hundred at most, but hey... that's still something to think about at least.

If you remember correctly LT said something about last minute additions and you don't do last minute additions if you are behind. Per the university construction page that was posted elsewhere on the forum: Quote: Status: The construction of the Bobcat Stadium North Side Complex including the Strutters Gallery, Fan Shop/Visitor Center, and Track Suite is underway by Austin Commercial. Overall construction is about 55% complete. Scheduled work over the next three months includes: continued placement of the structural concrete for the concourse level, installation of precast concrete members, and installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems. Substantial Completion and move-in is scheduled for August, 2012 and dedication event is planned for September 7, 2012. http://www.fss.txstate.edu/planning/fac ... north.html
