My request of the Bobcat team & coaches
Dear Coaches and Players, I've been a fan of the Bobcats for some time now. Back in the day, ya'll were renowned for getting your collective clocks cleaned on the road. This year is something different--you guys have put together a winning record on the road! You certainly deserve some props for that--going into a hostile environment and all. One little thing though, and I hate to complain given that ya'll are doing better this season than I thought ya'll would (my apologies for clubbing you guys like baby seals at the beginning of the season)... As much as I enjoy reading the little blurb in the paper about ya'll winning and trying to splice together some play-by-play on this website, I'd really like to see it in person. So a simple request, OK? I'd like to see ya'll beat the ever-loving shit out of Nicholls next week. I'm talking like you guys should take that damn paddle and beat them to a bloody pulp with it (on the scoreboard, not literally). I'm totally cool with ya'll winning that last road game as well and suspect you will, but I'm living in the now and would really like to watch ya'll win at home. Given what we've seen from you guys against SFA, McNeese, et al., I think ya'll can handle that. Heck, if I have to bust out with red & silver shirts and cheer for Nicholls to make you think you are on the road, I'm willing to do that if it results in a win! I'm working on a good recipe for crow at the end of the season. A couple more wins and I won't be picky about the seasoning I put on it. Where I went to school, it was considered bad form to wish somebody good luck because luck was for people that didn't have the talent to succeed; we wished each other "good skill". Ya'll have shown talent, so here's wishing ya'll "good skill" in next weeks game.

Road wins, while nice, mean nothing. You HAVE to win at home to garner support, especially with talk of moving up. I just keep thinking of what this season could have been. So close to being fantastic.
Damn.

This team has achieved more than most on this board expected. I hope that the team wins the last 2 games. 8-4 is not too bad playoffs or not. It will be quite an accomplishment. I said it before when a majority of folks on this board were asking for the HC's head. All the team needs is our support.

8-4 would be our second best record since (I think) 1983, our first I-AA transition year, when a good bit of our opponents were also I-AA transition teams in the SLC.

I will personally donate $100 if Bleed Gold shows up at the Nicholls game wearing silver shorts (and I mean short shorts, now), and a red wifebeater/tank top with some pom poms to cheer on the Colonels so that the Bobcats will feel it is an away game.
$100 to any charity/entity of your choosing (but not to an individual). Who will join with me to up the ante on this to see some comedy gold (pun definitely intended)?

What a cool tradition that would be. Everyone wear the other team's colors, but scream like hell for the Cats. Maybe a student org could pick that up at the very least.
Away wins mean nothing? Did I hear that correctly....jesus.

Away wins mean nothing? Did I hear that correctly....jesus. Come on, we've already got junior bobcats wearing the other team's colors half the time... we don't need the students doing the same thing.

I think if it's done for ONE team and one team only, that would be great. And only for home games obviously. But yeah, if it was at every home game, it'd be bad. And I guess I'm the only one wanting to see you dressed in a cheerleader outfit Bleed Gold. Either that, or there are some really cheap bastages out here.

I still have my tight silver wind shorts, from when I worked at hot wing restaurant serving women called "Shooters"... will those work?

Uhhhh... you REALLY don't want to see my nasty-ass, pasty white, hairly legs in those little short silver shorts, I promise . Besides, I'd like my wife to actually sit within a section of me at the game!

I tell you, it's instant classic.
