This weekend will be the last regular-season home contests for the Class of 2010, as Texas State closes out its home slate with a three-game series versus Northwestern State, May 1-2. Saturday’s doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.; while Sunday’s single game will start at noon. Senior Day announcements will be held at the conclusion of Sunday’s game. Read more

Texas State Athletics announced their Bobcat Club Membership Drive and this year it is more important than ever. You see the membership is low, way to low for a university with almost 136,000 living alumni. The Bobcat Club only has around 400 members and they need you to help it grow. Read more
Bobcat’s New Field

The Texas State University Bobcats have selected FieldTurf for the turf replacement project at Bobcat Stadium. The FieldTurf Duraspine PRO turf system and its patented sand and rubber infill system will replace the all-rubber surface that was previously on Jim Wacker Field. The announcement was jointly made by Texas State athletic director Larry Teis and FieldTurf president Eric Daliere.
The decision to upgrade to FieldTurf Duraspine PRO from the previous Astroplay surface was an easy one, according to the Bobcat administration. Read more
Signs Four Players For 2010-11 Season

Texas State head men’s basketball coach Doug Davalos has announced the signing of four players for the 2010-11 season. The Bobcats signed Nick Hinton from Wakeland High School in Frisco, Texas, Stevie Rogers of Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Conn., Travis Jones of Lon Morris College, and Reid Koenen of Prairie School High School in Racine, Wis. Those players will join mid-year transfer Matt Staff as new players on Texas State’s roster in 2010-11.

The American Advertising Federation (AAF) team at Texas State University won first place in district competition held in April.
The team of 20 students advances to national competition in Orlando, Fla., June 10-12 where it will compete against 17 other district winners from across the country, including a second team from TXST’s same district, the University of Houston. Read more
