Softball Run Rules No.13 Northwestern in NCAA Regional

Chandler Hall led Texas State to an 8-0 run-rule victory over No.13 Northwestern in their first game of the NCAA Waco Regional. Tonight’s win is the first run-rule by a Southland team ever and the most runs scored by a Southland team in the tourney. Texas State held the Wildcats to just one hit, to come away with today’s win. Hall earned her ninth shutout of the season to tie for this years’ single-season shutout record. Read more
A Record 44 Student-Athletes Presented Texas State Bobcat Club

A record number of 44 Texas State student-athletes were honored Friday morning at the school’s Bobcat Club Academic Ring Ceremony that was held at the Sac N’ Pac Room inside the End Zone Complex.
The Texas State Bobcat Club Academic Ring symbolizes excellence on the playing field and in the classroom, and since the inception of the program, nearly 750 student-athletes have received a ring. Along with their rings, the graduating student-athletes received a maroon and gold cord to wear at their graduation ceremonies. Read more
Softball Draws Northwestern in NCAA Waco Regional

The Texas State Bobcat softball team will take on No. 12 Northwestern at 5 p.m. on Friday in the opening round of the 2009 NCAA Softball Championship Tournament in Waco, Texas. The Waco Regional will also play host to Baylor and No. 25 Louisiana-Lafayette as part of 16 postseason regional hosts. Read more
Bobcats Claim SLC Title with Weekend Sweep of Nicholls

The Texas State Bobcats clawed their way back after an early offensive attack from the Nicholls Colonels and scored two run in the bottom of the ninth to take a 7-6 victory Sunday afternoon at Bobcat Field and claim the 2009 Southland Conference Regular Season Championship. Read more
