Texas State Shocks No. 15 Texas

In the second game against a nationally ranked opponent at home, Texas State beat Texas 9-7 in dramatic fashion. Leah Boatright went two for two with five RBI’s and two homeruns, including the walk off homerun to win the game. The last time Texas State beat Texas at home was in 2006, ending a three year streak of losing to the Longhorns at home. Read more

Texas State softball hosts No. 15 Texas on Wednesday, March 23 at 6:30pm at Bobcat Field. This will be the 36th meeting between the two teams and the second ranked opponent the Bobcats will face at home this season. Texas State knocked off fellow Big 12 foe Baylor two weeks ago in a 4-3 extra inning victory. Read more

Softball Splits with Islanders

Texas State softball split the double header with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi this afternoon at Bobcat Field. The Bobcats won the first game 7-6, but the Islanders refused to walk away winless grabbing the second game 11-7. The loss drops the Bobcats to 13-13, 9-3 in the conference, while the Islanders improve to 19-10, 6-6 in the SLC. Read more

Upsets No.22 Baylor, 4-3

Game winning RBI by Chandler Hall gives Texas State a 4-3 upset over No. 22 Baylor. The game stretched to nine innings before the Bobcats put away the Bears to earn their sixth straight, while also snapping the Bears six-game win streak. Texas State improves to 9-11 overall, while Baylor falls to 16-7. Read more

Takes on #22 Baylor Wednesday

Texas State softball returns to Bobcat Field to host No. 22 Baylor on Wednesday, March 10 at 6:00pm. The Bobcats will put their five-game win streak on the line versus the Bears. This will be the eighth straight year the two teams play each other. Read more
