Two Homers in Run Rule over Bearkats

Texas State dominated Sam Houston State this afternoon at Bobcat Field, beating the Bearkats 9-1 in six innings. Anna Hernandez led the attack by adding two more home runs to her resume and ending the Bearkats thoughts of a comeback. The Bobcats improve their overall record to 8-11, 5-1 in the SLC. The Bearkats loss drops them to 4-14, 0-6 in the SLC. Read more

Texas State softball closed out its opening weekend of play with its final two games in the CenturyLink Softball Classic. The Bobcats fell to Oklahoma State, 6-2 and UT Arlington, 10-7 to end the weekend and fall to, 1-4 overall.
The Bobcats played Oklahoma State in their first game. With both teams playing hard, Oklahoma State took a 3-0 lead after a double by Julie Ward saw three Cowgirls score at the plate. Read more
Softball Falls in Two Game Slump

The Texas State softball team hit a road block this afternoon as they dropped games to Oklahoma State, 10-1 and New Mexico, 8-0, after winning its season opener last night versus Northern Illinois. Texas State’s record falls to 1-2 in its first weekend of play. Read more
