Houston Swept at Home

Tyler Sibley belted a three-run homerun in the top of the fifth to break open a tie game and launch Texas State to a 9-7 win over the Houston Cougars Sunday afternoon at Cougar Field. Texas State improves to 3-0 and claims their first sweep of the season.
Sibley finished the day 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored.

Baseball Signs Nine

Texas State baseball head coach Ty Harrington announced the signing of nine National Letters of Intent Friday afternoon. The Bobcats add seven high school standouts and two junior college transfers with the 2010 signing class.
“This is definitely one of Texas State’s most exciting recruiting classes that have signed in my coaching career,” said head coach Ty Harrington. “The months of hard work that our recruiting coordinator Derek Matlock and assistant coach Jeremy Fikac have put in have definitely paid off.” Read more
Bobcats Claim SLC Title with Weekend Sweep of Nicholls

The Texas State Bobcats clawed their way back after an early offensive attack from the Nicholls Colonels and scored two run in the bottom of the ninth to take a 7-6 victory Sunday afternoon at Bobcat Field and claim the 2009 Southland Conference Regular Season Championship. Read more
