Come out and support the Texas State volleyball team and breast cancer awareness on October 9, 2009. In spirit of getting the word out about breast cancer awareness, the Bobcats have teamed up with Dig Pink and have designated their Oct. 9 match-up against UT Arlington at 6:30p.m. the official Dig Pink day. All proceeds will go to the local Breast Cancer treatment and support organizations associated with Central Texas Medical Center.

The volleyball team will be wearing pink warm-up shirts, hair ribbons and shoe strings during the match.

Donations at all Texas State events and various community locations leading up to the 9th will be accepted. Everyone wearing pink will be admitted into the match for a discounted ticket price of $2.

All players are taking pledges. You can pledge per dig that night or make a flat donation, of your choice, to the cause. The money raised by the Bobcats will be directly donated to local Breast Cancer treatment and support organizations associated with Central Texas Medical Center. Donations will be accepted now and up until two weeks after the match.

A silent auction will be held during the match. Items ranging from Bobcat apparel to commemorative balls will be auctioned off.

Donations for the auction are needed. Please contact Associate Head Coach Tracy Smith at tm19@txstate.edu for item drop off information.
