Bush Signs Pro Contract
September 20, 2009
As most Bobcat fans can agree, the past few years of Texas State Men’s basketball has been underwhelming to say the least. One of the consistent bright spots for the past few years has always been 6’6″ Guard Brandon Bush. While Texas State fans couldn’t always count on a win at Strahan Coliseum, they could usually count on a couple high-flying dunks from Bush to get the energy back into both the team and the fans.
This past season Bush ended his collegiate career, playing all four years with the Bobcats and leaves Texas State as one of the Top 5 scorers in school history. He recently left San Marcos to go overseas to Portugal where he will be playing for professional club AD Vagos. Bush also spent this past Summer training at the San Antonio Spurs Pre-Draft workouts.
Bush is not the only recent ex-Bobcat who plays professionally overseas, Brandon Thomas also signed a 1-year contract over the Summer to play for the Japanese team Kyoto Hannaryz.
